Welcome to my Art 54 Web page!

Here you will find the various projects that we are currently working on. This page will be updated regularly so be sure to come back often. =)

Project 1, Part 1 - Through online research, find a single, new art resource and comment on it. [Due: Feb. 2nd at 6am]

Project 1, Part 2 - What is art? Find definitions. Keep finding new ones. [Due: At least 3 by mid term time]

Project 2 - Find examples for the following: Mostly image, or where images are the main thrust of the page. Mostly data, complex pages which are still visually understandable. Mostly attitude or opinion (subjective pages which you don't need to agree with!) [Due: Feb. 16th at 6am]

Project 3 - Choose an art related theme and pursue it! Develop an idea in depth. Find out as much as you can from as many different sources as you can find. [Due: March 2nd at 6am]

Project 4 - Collect examples of images from sources on the Web. List link resources for images and image resources. Create a new page (or list URL's) with examples. [Due: March 16 at 6am]

Project 5 - Portrait into Self Portrait - Starting with a newly digitized image of yourself make a page with 3, highly manipulated and very different self portraits. [Due: Mar. 30th at 6am]

Project 6 - Economy - You have all waited patiently while opening a page just to find that it could have offered just as much impact with more speed. How can you create impact along with speed? Show me with a page with several things going on but that opens fast, relative to the quantity of graphic information. [Due: April 13 at 6am]

Project 7 - Flexibility - Either create a personal hompage and do it 3 completely different ways, or find links to radically different looking, yet similar in content pages. What I'm looking for here is consistent content with a very different look. [Due: April 27 at 6am]

Project 8 - Multimedia - Add multimedia links to your homepage or list some exciting multimedia sites. You might tell us what we need to view them (for both PC and Mac platforrms) so that we don't overwhelm you with email questions. [Due: May 11 at 6am]
